A mobile disinfection robot developed by ASTI Mobile Robotics and Boos Technical Lighting has been introduced at IE University in Madrid.
Three ZenZoe robots are deployed every night covering more than 8,000m2 in five and a half hours.
According to ASTI and Boos, the lamp design ensures highly concentrated UV-C reach in the air, on surfaces and floors for fast and effective disinfection in continuous movement without missing any areas.
ZenZoe also provides toxic-free cleaning with no waiting time before a facility can be used again. It features autonomous simultaneous localisation and mapping technology to map all routes and spaces to be disinfected whilst avoiding any obstacles.
As previously reported by Robotics & Innovation, the robots were piloted at the University Hospital of Burgos in Spain this summer to combat Covid-19.
