Footage has circulated online of robots in Real Madrid kit being used to test players’ free kick abilities.
In the video, Real Madrid players are seen practicing free kicks against robot defenders, the heights of which can be adjusted to mimic the defensive wall they might encounter during a match.
The robots can also ‘jump’ to try and block the ball.
A human goalie can also be seen working behind the robot players.
