XBot-L, a life-sized humanoid robot developed by Robot Era, recently completed a successful walk along some sections of the Great Wall of China.
Robot Era deployed the machine to test its locomotion abilities, which was brought out to test its locomotion, dexterity and self-balancing capabilities.
The announcement follows upgrades to the device, including perceptive reinforcement learning algorithms, the company said in a statement.
The added features were put in to enhance XBot-L’s ability to “navigate rugged, uneven terrain, stably climb up winding stairs and adapt to various environments, including the Great Wall’s dark archways”, Robot Era added.
