Locus Robotics, a developer of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), has surpassed three billion picks across its global customer deployments, according to a company statement.
Rick Faulk, the CEO of Locus Robotics, said: “Surpassing three billion picks across our global deployments is a significant milestone that reflects the trust our customers have placed in our innovative robotics solutions.”
He reiterated the company’s commitment to transforming the supply chain industry and empowering customers to improve operational efficiencies and productivity in today’s increasingly complex fulfilment landscape.
The three-billionth pick, a Carhartt t-shirt, was recorded at a Carhartt facility in Hanson, Kentucky.
Locus Robotics took almost seven years to reach its first billion picks, before reaching two billion picks 11 months later, with the third billion milestone following in 33 weeks.
“At Carhartt, we are consistently impressed by the performance and reliability of Locus Robotics’ solutions,” said Tony Gariety, VP of distribution operations.
“LocusBots have become an integral part of our operations, enabling us to meet the ever-increasing demands of our customers while maintaining the highest levels of efficiency and accuracy.”
As the industry evolves, Locus Robotics has said it remains committed to innovation and delivering cutting-edge robotics solutions to enable customers to scale and meet escalating demands.
With a strong emphasis on research and development, the company hopes to sustain its growth in recent years and lead the industry in warehouse automation.
