Japanese autonomous mobile robot (AMR) maker LexxPluss has launched a portfolio of four automation systems aimed at revolutionising US manufacturing and logistics.
The portfolio includes the Lexx500 AMR, LexxTug towing interface, LexxFleet management system and the IoT LexxHub system, all of which are designed for seamless integration with existing systems.
LexxPluss’ technology was developed to improve intralogistics automation for manufacturers and logistics companies of all sizes, from deploying a single Lexx500 AMR to scaling up with the LexxTug towing interface.
The company’s products are designed to emphasise safety, sustainability and open architecture for effective system interoperability.
“We are excited to introduce our automated conveyance products and solutions in the US,” said Rizo Itakura, COO, LexxPluss.
“Our commitment to safety and open architecture is generating significant interest in North America.”
The Lexx500 AMR is equipped with lidar, ultrasonic sensors and depth cameras, and was designed to ensure workers and object safety.
It can reportedly carry loads up to 500kg with the LexxTug attachment and operates for 18 hours continuously, the AMR firm said.
What’s more, the Lexx500 is equipped with a precise turning radius and stopping accuracy to enhancing operational efficiency and agility.
The LexxTug attachment enables the use of general-purpose carts without modifications, while the LexxFleet management system offers comprehensive task and fleet control.
On the software side, LexxHub, an IoT system, facilitates the integration of existing equipment with AMR fleets, allowing synchronised operations such as elevator calls and fire prevention measures.
“We are heavily investing in the US market,” said Morgan Chang, LexxPluss’ US business development manager.
“We have established a US subsidiary, opened a sales office in Indiana and are expanding our North American team. We seek new partnerships to develop collaborative, interoperable solutions.”
