Softeon, a warehouse management system (WMS) provider, has implemented a software platform for global supply chain company Vantiva.
Vantiva contacted Softeon initially as they required faster customer onboarding and fulfilment capabilities for business-to-business and direct-to-consumer channels.
Softeon’s WMS was developed to enhance operational efficiency, expand integration capabilities, provide real-time data visibility and improve inventory accuracy.
Fred Holmes, director of information technology for Vantiva, Fred Holmes, said: “As we diversified our service model, now working with companies that need direct-to-consumer fulfilment, Vantiva needed a WMS with more flexibility to do more than fulfil huge business-to-business orders for retail.
“What we found was that our tools that we built into our legacy systems did not really line up with the tools needed to complete high volume, smaller orders versus one order with a huge volume.”
The system, which is set to be deployed in three months or less, includes the initial user acceptance testing in addition to a customer transition period.
CEO of Softeon Jim Hoefflin said: “The service we’ve been able to provide for Vantiva since 2019 is an example of Softeon’s commitment to delivering limitless customer-centric solutions that propel businesses as their warehousing and fulfillment needs diversify and become more complex.”
