Global technology firm ABB has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) agreement with digital solutions provider ATS Global to expand its ABB Ability Data Center Automation (DCA) business.
ATS Global is a Global System Integrator (GSI) and intends to partner with ABB to combine expertise and resources and grow their respective businesses.
DCA is a controls, hardware and software solution for managing of data centre infrastructure.
According to ABB, it combines control over building management system (BMS), electrical power management system (EPMS), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) within one solution.
“The demand for reliable data centre automation solutions and digital transformation expertise is continuing to rise,” said Madhav Kalia, global head of data centre automation at ABB.
“ABB and ATS Global can work to our respective strengths and deliver complete solutions to customers in Europe, the Americas, across Asia and Australia.
“We are committed to aligning and growing with our new channel partner.”
From the MoU, ABB will reportedly gain new representatives familiar to regional standards, laws and regulations. Over the long term, the two parties plan to explore new commercial opportunities for data centre customers across a range of industries.
