Computing technology manufacturer Zebra Technologies Corporation (Zebra) has launched a new ‘advanced tier’ of its Machine Vision Specialisation programme, which is targeted at its global partners in industrial automation and machine vision specialisation.
The new tier of the Machine Vision Specialisation programme affords partners access to Zebra’s more advanced machine vision portfolio. This includes a range of new specialised products and solutions that became available through the company’s acquisition of Matrox Imaging in June 2022.
The company also claims that the new offering will afford its partners access to some additional features of its Aurora software.
Zebra hopes to use the new tier to address the needs of its manufacturing and warehousing customers who need advanced solutions in automation and quality control.
What’s more, the solution is specifically targeted towards the industrial imaging needs of manufacturing and warehousing operators, with Zebra claiming its machine vision solutions can help operators keep standards and efficiency high by enabling them to increase visibility on production or conveyor lines.
“Manufacturing and warehouse operators deeply value a partner with the experience, business insight and technology expertise to enable them to overcome their industrial imaging challenges,” said Allan Anderson, managing director, Clearview, and one of the first to join Zebra’s new tier.
“Together with Zebra, we are well-positioned to continue to serve as a trusted solutions provider that our customers can rely on as they increasingly leverage automation to help them compete and win in today’s on-demand economy.”
As part of its new product offering, Zebra has also created specially designed learning pathways, including resources from Matrox Imaging’s Vision Academy, for existing and new partners. This is to ensure its customers are comfortable with its solution portfolio, with the company providing additional support through its new machine vision and fixed industrial scanning learning team.
“With the increased pace of production and delivery, supply chains are more complex than ever before and the volume, velocity and variety of data required to optimise them continues to expand,” said Donato Montanari, general manager and VP, machine vision, Zebra Technologies.
“Through the new advanced tier, the most advanced imaging technologies such as 3D sensors, frame grabbers, Matrox Imaging Library, and Matrox vision controllers with embedded PC technology are now available for our advanced tier partners to help address these challenges for end users around the world.”
Machine vision solutions, through image and video analysis, can be used to help identify problems and optimise processes throughout the supply chain, with some of its key benefits including increased efficiency, improved safety and reduced operational costs.
Zebra Technologies (Stand i820) will be at the co-located IntraLogisteX and Robotics and Automation on 28-29 March 2023 at NEC Birmingham. For more information, visit www.intralogistex.co.uk and www.roboticsandautomation.co.uk now!
