Logistics and freight company Simarco has introduced a warehouse management system (WMS) from SnapFulfil in its new 108,000ft² warehouse in Stoke-on-Trent.
Simarco operates in the UK, across Europe, and along international trade routes. Its services include air, ocean, and road transportation as well as warehousing solutions.
The system was implemented over 50 days, with the official go-live having taken place in March.
Following successful implementation in Stoke-on-Trent, Simarco plans to begin the onboarding process for the WMS in two more of its distribution centres over the summer. The SnapFulfil WMS will be implemented in its distribution centre in Wiltham, Essex and its mainland Europe facility in the Netherlands.
Richard Bartram, head of UK implementations for SnapFulfil, said: “[We were] able to create some bespoke integration for [Simarco’s] main customer and so all orders (and associated data) for the three sites utilise the same API securely and consistently.”
