Fabric, a technology company focused on fulfilment applications, and Reply, a communications specialist, have announced a strategic partnership to develop a single solution for a warehouse management system (WMS) and automated fulfilment through robotics.
The platform, named the LEA Reply supply chain execution platform, has been developed by software solutions provider Logistics Reply – and will be integrated with Fabric’s automation solution and connected to the former’s WMS.
According to the two companies, this will support new applications for their customers and improve their robotic, WES (Warehouse Execution Systems) and WMS capabilities, with what they describe as minimal effort and without business interruption.
What’s more, the LEA system can also be used to develop end-to-end supply chain solutions and offers enhanced functionality for Fabric’s MFC automation platform to support faster deliveries and more efficient operations, the pair has said.
“We are proud to announce this strategic partnership that allows us to offer retailers an intelligent, orchestrated and complete ecosystem for e-commerce fulfilment and logistics”, said Enrico Nebuloni, executive partner of Reply.
“The omni-channel operating models for order preparation and delivery, natively supported by our proprietary LEA Reply platform, such as depot fulfilment, in-store fulfilment, drop shipping, kerbside pickup, lockers and home delivery, can now be seamlessly complemented by Fabric’s innovative MFCs.”
The partnership is also intended to offer customers new levels of flexibility and automation, including improved data, intelligence and analytics through the streamlining of order fulfilment, faster onboarding processes through tech to support new process setup and data migration and improved communication between systems to enable efficient integration with external customer and courier systems.
