The partnership will capitalise on the anticipated 30% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in the automated guided vehicle (AGV) and AMR market by 2028, driven by increasing demand in e-commerce and the flexibility of AMRs that can be deployed without significant infrastructure changes.
The two companies will provide integrated warehouse automation solutions for picking, packing, and material movement.
Matthews will contribute its warehouse execution system (WES) software, picking systems, and automation expertise.
Matthews’ warehouse automation systems are currently in use in more than 2,000 manufacturing and distribution centres globally.
