Tobacco and beverage distributor C-Store Master has partnered with Geek+ to automate its new US$12m warehouse in Huntsville, Alabama, USA.
The 120,000ft2 robotic distribution facility will feature more than 70 Geek+ robots, using three different technologies, which, according to the company, will increase accuracy to 99.99%. A multi-level shuttle system will reportedly be the first of its kind in the southeast of the USA.
Rick DeFiesta, Geek+ director of business development and partnership, said: “C-Store Master’s robots will increase their productivity by three to four times. We’re proud to partner with their team on this efficiency to help provide even quicker service for their customers.”
Construction work on the warehouse began in October 2020 and it is expected to open in early 2021.The new facility will create 40 jobs and C-Store Master expects to begin hiring in the coming months.
