Exotec, which provides robotic solutions for warehouses, has won a contract with Alliance Automotive Group (AAG) UK&I, a European car and commercial vehicle parts supplier, to fit one of AAG’s sites with its solutions.
The warehouse will be fitted with Exotec’s complete suite of solutions, including the Skypod and Skypicker systems, Deepsky software and 1,700 metres of Skypath conveyor technology.
All of the solutions will include Exotec’s modular design, with the company being chosen to help streamline processes and optimise output. Pre-production and installation of the Exotec systems is set to begin shortly.
Neil Warren, group logistics director for AAG in the UK, said: “I am very excited to utilise this technology in serving our customers as effectively and quickly as possible to ensure that we are a company that makes it easy for them to deal with based on the operational flexibility it gives us”.
Rémy Malchirand, executive vice president for Western Europe at Exotec, said: “After the successful implementation of our first system with AAG in France, we are very pleased to continue our partnership with AAG in the UK and are looking forward to working together. The team has a clear vision and we’re delighted to help them realise this with our innovative systems.
“This deal encapsulates the success of our journey in the UK market so far and highlights the size and scale of projects we can implement for customers. Our systems and product offerings will enable a fully automated warehouse that is simple, flexible, and scalable for AAG – allowing for smooth growth and implementation as they expand across Europe.”
AAG UK&I is one of several of Exotec’s international customers, with the company reporting more than 80 customer sites in 14 different countries around the world.
