Craemer Group, a manufacturer of plastic pallets, has announces that its CR4-5 plastic pallet has been quality tested by Virginia Tech and reportedly proven to last more than 500 loops.
Craemer will be exhibiting at Stand 222 at IntralogisteX 2023, which will be co-located with Robotics and Automation 2023.
“The most resilient plastic pallet, the CR4-5 is more sturdy and stable than any other pallet on the market,” said Axel Breitkreuz, president of Craemer US Corporation.
“It lasts more than 500 loops, and we’re extremely proud of that now-proven accolade.
“It’s durable across industries and environments, and our Palgrip ensures maximum safety.”
According to Craemer, the CR4-5 underwent a series of durability and quality tests over the course of four months at Virginia Tech.
The university team used the FasTrack Simulation, with the pallets being tested for structural durability and the extent of their use. Some of the simulations it ran included rough handling scenarios, which reportedly involved a 3,000-pound forklift and a 4,000-pound pallet jack, both of which it claimed to test at various speeds with a dummy load of 1,500 pounds.
According to the results of the test, all evaluated Craemer CR4-5 pallets successfully survived 500 FasTrack cycles without experiencing damage or failure.
Craemer manufacturers its plastic pallets for use across industries, but claims they are also suitable for food and pharmaceutical environments.
What’s more, wood pallets average failure after only 11 cycles, while the CR4-5 is now proven to last more than 500 loops, its developer has said.
The new pallet was developed using 100% recyclable, Craemer has said, and is reportedly easy to clean and reduces production downtime due to the elimination of splinters and dust from wood. Its one-piece design is equipped to use Palgrip anti-slip top deck strips to support improved safety, even in damp conditions or inclined positions.
