Material handling, automation and maintenance firm AMH Material Handling has been awarded another three-year contract for the maintenance of all material handling machinery at Asda’s George clothing warehouses.
On-site maintenance engineers will be stationed at four UK sites providing total asset management maintenance programmes, which are designed to deliver 24-hour support, 365 days a year. This includes preventative maintenance protection with AMH’s engineers looking after a combination of its own installations and other OEMs’ equipment installed at the sites.
The site-based maintenance contract review process took a total of six months for the Asda Logistics Services team to complete. It resulted in the renewal of an existing contract with AMH Material Handling. AMH added it was successfully awarded the contract after demonstrating its existing and future value; its proven track record of health and safety and legislative compliance, and its performance in continually exceeding service-level agreements.

AMH will also work with Asda on a number of engineering projects including autonomous mobile robot installation in Asda’s parcel sortation centre.
