Canadian submersible robotics company Deep Trekker has introduced its new remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV), Pivot.
Equipped with six magnetically coupled thrusters, powered by lithium batteries, the Pivot has been designed to provide users with stability, power, speed and control in a portable package, for inspections and survey tasks.
The ROV features an integrated sensor pack, LED floodlights, a 200-degree high-definition rotating camera head and 97-degree rotating tool positioning to give pilots flexible imaging options, as well as convenient tool manipulation from a stable platform.
Add-on tools include sonar systems for working in murky water to locate and identify targets. Grabber and manipulator tools are also available. Deep Trekker said the latest ROV comes with the conveniences of the tether reel and carrying case for ultimate portability.
Furthermore, its operating system has been designed with custom hardware and software; for control, integration, communication and enhanced operation. Deep Trekker Bridge leverages the latest in technology to provide solutions that are intuitive and easy to use for its customers.
