Green solutions developer All In On Green has announced a trial of its SeaProtectorOne robot in the city of Aarhus, Denmark, where the device reportedly collected more than100,000 different kinds of waste from the city’s river within 20 months.
The organisation claims that the results of the experiment show much pollution from the city is spreading into marine environments.
What’s more, the company explains that removing waste from oceans is an even greater challenge than fresh water environments.
In response to this, SeaProtectorOne was developed to collect waste before seas and oceans become contaminated.
The robot is designed to collect waste, such as plastic cups, masks and pizza boxes, while also allowing for the passage of ships and other marine vessels, according to its developer.
