Rockwell Automation, Inc., a specialist in industrial automation and digital transformation, has partnered with Icelandic chocolatier Nói Síríus to improve the company’s production-line efficiency and streamline maintenance operations.
Nói Síríus sought to improve the reliability of its production line while reducing the burden on its maintenance team.
After evaluating various solutions, the company selected Rockwell Automation’s Fiix computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) to optimise its maintenance processes.
By implementing Fiix CMMS, Nói Síríus has reportedly been able to capture vital data on the performance and maintenance status of its assembly-line machinery, leading to notable productivity gains.
In just four months, the company shifted from reactive maintenance to a more proactive, preventive approach, which it said has significantly minimising downtime.
“This project has been a successful collaboration,” said Asa Arvidsson, regional vice president of sales at Rockwell Automation.
“We’ve worked closely with Nói Síríus to design efficient maintenance workflows using the Fiix platform, and the improvements have been impressive.”
Six months into the deployment, Rockwell Automation and Nói Síríus are now collaborating on a facility-wide networking project to implement a predictive maintenance model.
This data-driven approach is expected to further enhance productivity, reduce costs and maximise uptime at Nói Síríus.
