SoftBank Robotics America (SBRA), the North American arm of robotics solutions company SoftBank Robotics Group (SBRG), has announced Brady Watkins as its new company president.
Watkins previously served as senior vice president and general manager of SBRA, where he assisted with the commercialisation of Whiz, a collaborative robot vacuum, supported the company’s expansion into the outdoor automation market and oversaw the development of its current partnership with Autonomous Solutions.
As president of SBRA, Watkins will help company partners with their automation-enabled business needs across sectors such as retail and real estate. He will also contribute to the commercial management and development of new and existing products and services to ensure the continued delivery of tailored robotics’ solutions.
“We’re grateful for Brady’s demonstrated leadership in our organisation, as well as his ability to unite stakeholders in the robotics industry,” said Kenichi Yoshida, chief business officer at SBRG.
“As ongoing labor shortages throughout the world have increased demand for autonomous solutions, we see great potential for growth in the US market and look forward to working with Brady and the SBRA team to achieve these goals.”
Before joining SBRA, Watkins led digital client solutions for a global marketing execution agency, and spent over a decade with a top-three global video game publisher.
