Blendid, a US health food solutions provider, and American smoothie company Jamba, have announced plans to expand their automated smoothie kiosks to Love’s Travel Stops in the USA.
The first Jamba by Blendid kiosk will reportedly open this summer just outside of Sacramento, California as part of the companies’ expansion into the rest-stop market.
With more than 590 locations in 41 US states, Love’s Travel Stops provide motorists with around-the-clock access to fuel, compressed natural gas, travel items, electronics, snacks, restaurant food and more.
The introduction of the automated Jamba-Blendid kiosks is intended to provide a healthy option for drivers, without adding to the staffing pressures that already exist at such facilities.
The kiosks will utilise Blendid’s contactless food automation platform to provide motorists with accessible food options that can be made on-demand.
“Our robotic smoothie kiosks are helping leaders across the hospitality industry meet the rising demand for fresh food options – delivering the fast, customisable and nutritious food choices that consumers crave, where and when they need it,” said Vipin Jain, CEO and co-founder of Blendid.
More details will be made available as operations are finalised.
