Security technology company Knightscope has announced that it will implement Draganfly’s vital intelligence technology into its autonomous robots.
As such, Knightscope’s robots, which combine self-driving technology, robotics and AI, will incorporate use of Draganfly’s platform, which can measure key vital signs.
The combined system uses an advanced microcontroller to perform sophisticated image processing in real time.
William Santana Li, CEO of Knightscope, said: “This technology will enable real-time vital sign screening, which has become a critical component in providing our clients with a comprehensive public safety solution.”
Despite its small size and power consumption – consuming less than 50W of electrical power – the fully featured system has a web-based API that works with Knightscope’s in autonomous operating platforms.
As previously reported by Robotics & Innovation, Knightscope’s autonomous security robot was credited for reducing crime in Huntington Park, Los Angeles County, California in 2020.
