Service robot provider Pudu Robotics has launched an upgraded building delivery robot FlashBot.
The latest version has been designed to facilitate intelligent delivery across various environments including hotels, office buildings, apartments, healthcare centres, and hospitals, to further enhance digital management services.
Owing to technological constraints, conventional building delivery robots are mainly restricted to indoor environments, leaving numerous semi-outdoor delivery situations unmet.
Locations like resort hotel gardens, swimming pool areas, open terraces in office buildings, and outdoor gardens in hospitals have substantial delivery demands but frequently remain inadequately served.

To bridge these gaps, the company has introduced its upgraded FlashBot which has been designed specifically to operate in semi-outdoor environments.
The new FlashBot utilises the PUDU VSLAM+ technology for precise navigation, which enhances positioning accuracy and adaptability. FlashBot navigates between indoor and semi-outdoor areas such as garden pathways, fitness zones, and poolside edges, excelling in various dynamic, mixed-use environments. This makes it ideal for hotel room service and other semi-outdoor applications.
Felix Zhang, Founder and CEO of Pudu Robotics, said: “The new FlashBot is a reflection of Pudu Robotics’ dedication to ongoing innovation and prioritising our customers’ needs.
“By expanding its operational capabilities to include semi-outdoor environments, we are delivering an even more versatile and dependable solution. This ensures that our clients benefit from consistent, high-quality delivery services, no matter the setting.”
Innovations and achievements in outdoor robotics will be highlighted and celebrated at the second annual Robotics & Automation Awards on 06 November 2024 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
