Alert Innovation has partnered with Muratac to supply one of Japan’s largest sports retail brands with its first 3D robot warehousing system.
Alphabot was installed in Alpen’s distribution centres and uses robot cart technology to automate storage and picking tasks.
As part of Alpen’s expansion, some 130 robot carts will select from 26,000 case locations at its distribution centres.
The system is expected to reduce logistics operations by complementing Alpen’s storage capacity and reducing picking, sorting and packaging activities by approximately 60%.
Furthermore, Alphabot will expand the range of SKUs handled, enhancing worker productivity and improving sorting and shipping efficiency.
John Lert , CEO of Alert Innovation, said: “We are delighted to see our partner Muratec winning business with the Alphabot solution in a highly competitive market.
“This is a validation of both the capabilities of Muratec as a company and the breakthrough design of Alphabot. We look forward to seeing many more deployments of the technology by Muratec in the future.”
