PWR Pack has supplied a high-speed line for the robotic picking of delicate cake products into retail trays for a UK customer.
The solution comprises five PWR robots that pick the cakes and place them into the trays, as well as a double denester that places 120 trays into the tray conveyor every minute.
Furthermore, a 2D vision system provides product quality checks and an intuitive human-machine interface monitors line efficiency.
Full integration is provided via a FIFO buffer and tray merge system.
