IADYS (Interactive Autonomous Dynamic Systems), a start-up developing AI and robotic products for marine environment protection, has announced its expansion in the UK with new exclusive partner P&D Marine Group.
The Marseille-based company is already known for its autonomous Jellyfishbot, which collects waste such as bottles, cans, plastic wrappers, cigarette butts, microplastics and paint particles as well as hydrocarbons on the surface of water bodies.
According to the IADYS, Jellyfishbot is ideal for cleaning up harbours, industrial and tourist areas and is a major tool for the maintenance and the preservation of the water bodies. By working as close as possible to the source of the pollution, it is designed to prevent the dispersion of the pollutants into rivers, seas and oceans.
With almost 40 robots in service, the Jellyfishbot has already been deployed across French marinas, ports and shipyards. The robot has also been adopted by private companies dedicated to waste collection in Monaco and Dunkerque, and by companies specialising in industrial sites’ depollution.
Additionally, research institutes in France and abroad have chosen to acquire a robot. IADYS added both golfs and leisure structures have shown interest in the robots, for cleaning-up their water bodies.

With its current network of distributors in Japan, Singapore, Finland, and Norway, in addition to the network operating on the French market, IADYS turned to P&D to expand its solution in the UK, strengthening its position in international markets.

IADYS is also in discussions with distributors in Australia, the Middle East, North Africa, New Zealand, the USA and Canada.
“We are confident for the end of 2021 and the coming 2022, the covid crisis is now finally behind us. We expect to reach our target of 50 robots ordered by the end of the year, and the order book for 2022 is already filling up day by day” added Carlési.
