Danobat, a machine tool manufacturer, has entered the industrial robotics market with the introduction of its DMTR range, a new series of precision robots designed to meet the growing demands of high-accuracy manufacturing.
The DMTR robots are able to drill, rivet, and tap, the company has said that they will be used for complex machining and high-precision additive manufacturing processes. They are also are programmed using numerical control (CNC).
The company has developed specialised systems for robot dynamics and control, which reportedly reduce vibrations by 90% and shorten cycle times by 20%.
The DMTR series includes a range of models to accommodate different industrial needs.
The smaller version has a payload capacity of up to 70kg and a reach of 2.2 metres, while the larger model can handle loads of up to 520kg with a reach of 3.6 metres.
