Coesia, operating through its subsidiary FlexLink, has successfully completed the acquisition of Automation & Modular Components, LLC. (AMC), and secured 100% of the share capital of the material handling automation systems manufacturer.
AMC is based in Davisburg, Michigan, USA. Coesia is a cluster of industrial and packaging solutions companies.
AMC specialises in the production of automated integrated control materials handling systems, as well as conveyors for integration into assembly systems and production lines. It specialises in products with a capacity for higher load applications.
The acquisition of AMC was intended to strengthen Coesia and FlexLink’s foothold in the US market, particularly in the battery sector.
Alessandro Parimbelli, CEO of Coesia, said: “We are glad to welcome AMC in our Group, we consider this company a strategic asset especially for the development of FlexLink, whose robotic and material handling expertise will be further enhanced and expanded by AMC’s heavy weight conveyance systems.”
Dick Shore, former CEO of AMC, added: “Coesia with FlexLink is the perfect home for AMC to continue on its growth path and further expand its global presence, continuing to help companies in more than 25 industries across six continents to produce goods faster, with more consistency.”
Under the umbrella of Coesia, FlexLink, and now AMC, has said it remains committed to investing in automation technology, recognising its enduring growth potential.
Plans are reportedly underway to sustain both organic and inorganic growth strategies in the US and globally to ensure a continued legacy of innovation and industry leadership from Coesia in the automation sector.
