Robotics and warehouse automation company AutoStore has announced two key appointments to its business development and partner management teams as the firm prepares for its next growth stage.
Joining its 10-strong UK team to help drive AutoStore’s UK expansion plans is Alex Forrest who will oversee the company’s business development across the manufacturing and industrial portfolios.
Forrest joins AutoStore from factory automation manufacturer Keyence, where he spent a decade in various sales and account management positions.
Paul Cusack has also joined AutoStore, as partner sales manager, where he will liaise between AutoStore’s integration partners and the business.
A qualified electronic technician, Cusack joins AutoStore from Omron where he held several sales management-related roles, including establishing the company’s first logistics and warehouse teams in the UK.
James Smith, managing director at AutoStore UK, said: “The fact that AutoStore was able to attract these high-calibre candidates to the business is a demonstration of the positive direction that the business is heading in and is also testament to our growing reputation as an employer of choice, underpinned by our healthy working culture and environment.
“The track record of Alex and Paul speaks for itself and we’re pleased to have them on board to play an integral part in helping establish AutoStore as the world’s leading warehouse automation company.”
Both appointments follow a successful business period for AutoStore, which includes a US$123.1m (£102.3m) boost to revenues in the first quarter of 2022, compared to the same period last year.
AutoStore is currently valued at over US$12bn (£10m) and received US$2.8bn (£2.3bn) of funding from investment firm SoftBank.
