Zymergen, a science and material innovation company based in California, has integrated dozens of Meca500 robots to automate experiments in its life sciences facility.
According to Zymergen, the Meca500, a miniature industrial robot manufactured by startup company Mecademic, has lowered costs, added flexibility, and cut integration times eight-fold, due to its “flexibility, reliability, speed, and ease of integration”.
To date, the Meca500 has been applied in a number of labs and industries such as watchmaking and medical technology.
