South Korean company Hyundai Robotics has expanded its business by opening an European office in Ismaning, Germany.
Germany was chosen as the location for the new facility as the country occupies about 37% of the robot demand in Europe and because it is located close to Italy, France, Spain – countries that also exhibit high demand for industrial robots.
The decision was also based on convenient transportation to the Czech Republic and Slovakia, where vendors Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors are located.
The European office also features a materials warehouse, showroom, and training centre, and will be used to demonstrate the competitiveness of Hyundai’s robots to customers and offer training services.
Chang-Hun Lee, head of the Europe office, said: “Not only will we be looking for new clients through aggressive sales, but we will be putting in various efforts to improve the satisfaction of existing customers.”
