Luxolis, a start-up that develops 3D vision cameras and industrial automation solutions, has announced an expansion into Vietnam and Japan.
The company hopes this will strengthen its presence in regional markets, while also enabling its expansion into new territories.
Vietnam and Japan were selected based on the reported demand for advanced automation systems in these regions, on which Luxolis hopes to capitalise.
Its aim is to deliver tailored industrial automation solutions and both build on and create new customer relationships here.
Local offices will be used as operational hubs to enable quicker delivery and support to clients.
Its sales and business development teams have said they are actively meeting with top robotics and manufacturing companies in Vietnam and Japan to seek out partnership opportunities.
Some of the applications for Luxolis’ industrial automation tech includes applications in quality control, logistics, manufacturing and robotics.
Its 3D vision cameras were developed to allow for precise feature detection, the automation of complex tasks and provision of real-time data for improved decision-making.
The value of these systems lies in increased operational efficiency, reduced labour costs and enhanced consistency and accuracy in production processes, the company added.
The expansion forms part of a broader company objective to establish a strong presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
Last year, the International Federation of Robotics’ World Robotics report recorded 553,052 global industrial robot installations, with 73% of all newly deployed robots being installed in Asia, 15% in Europe and 10% in the Americas.
