Autostore has named Hiroshi Kamo as managing director in charge of business development for the Japanese market.
Kamo, 49, who was previously executive officer and operations director at Intel Japan, will be responsible developing AutoStore in Japan together with its partners.
To date, some 30 AutoStore systems have been sold in the country, and the company has set a target of more than 50 AutoStore systems by the end of 2020.
AutoStore CEO and president Karl Johan Lier said he believes Kamo “will help us take our next big step in Japan”.
“With more than 20 years of experience in international business and technology, Hiroshi Kamo has developed an expertise that will be important for us to develop our business in Japan,” said Lier.
Kamo said he appreciates the opportunity the Norwegian company has given him.
“AutoStore is a really exciting company to be a part of, and the Norwegian technology is unique,” said Kamo. “I cannot wait to help out on fulfilling the potential for AutoStore in the Japanese market.”
