Robotics & Innovation has today [5 July 2023] officially rebranded to Robotics & Automation Magazine to closer align the UK’s leading business-to-business (B2B) publication dedicated to these technologies with its companion events: the Robotics & Automation Awards and the Robotics and Automation Exhibition.
Akabo Media, publisher of the magazine and organiser of the associated exhibition and awards, announced the rebrand during the unveiling of a new home for the unified brand portfolio: www.roboticsandautomationgroup.co.uk.
Today also marks the release of the maiden issue of the magazine under its new title, as well as the launch of a revamped editorial website – www.roboticsandautomationmagazine.co.uk – featuring a sleek new design to better present the content of the brand’s flagship title.
Elaborating on the rebrand, Ursula O’Sullivan-Dale, editor of Robotics & Automation Magazine, said: “Robotics & Automation is the leading brand for professionals operating in the robotics and automation space, and so it makes perfect sense that the UK’s top B2B title covering issues essential to the sector shares the same name as the exhibition and the awards.
“Our customers have asked for this – something that truly represents the fact that the Robotics & Automation brand is the foremost player in the UK market for exhibitions, awards and publications in this space. With this rebrand, and the unification of the wider portfolio, we have delivered on that request.
“It’s also exciting to announce this amid the release of the July 2023 issue, which is a special one for readers as it offers a first look at the new brand logo, while providing the same sector-leading original content they have come to expect from the magazine since it launched in 2017.
“While highlighting innovation and cutting-edge research and developments in this field has been, and will continue to be, a core focus of the magazine, the decision to change to Robotics & Automation will better support the delivery of a unified brand portfolio and signal the strength of both the publication and events under the Robotics & Automation banner to the industry.”
What’s more, the July issue provides an update on another new and exciting development for the brand by revealing not only the first batch of the judges confirmed for the inaugural Robotics & Automation Awards, but also the venue of the trophy-giving ceremony on 31 October 2023.
Announced earlier this year by the magazine, the Robotics & Automation Awards will be an unmissable night in the calendars of robotics and automation professionals, and a truly one-of-a-kind celebration of both innovation and industry, which is the wider brand’s signature.
On this, O’Sullivan-Dale added: “A new name may mark a new era for the Robotics & Automation portfolio, but you can expect the same industry-leading content from Robotics & Automation Magazine.”
