Name: Saima Ghani
Job title: Senior project manager
Organisation: HSBC
What is the best thing about your job?
The fact that I’m always learning and helping to improve experiences for colleagues and clients.
How will robotics impact your sector most in 2021?
Robotics in 2021 will continue to help revolutionise traditional institutions enabling them to develop the flexibility of start-up organisations, as well as enabling the provision of actionable intelligence, both internal and external, at much higher frequency that we have been able to in the past.
What’s your best piece of advice to a professional in your field looking to invest in or deploy/implement a robotics solution?
Focus on outcomes rather than blindly automating a manual process that hasn’t changed in years – this will help enable removing of unnecessary/bureaucratic processes which no one can quite remember why they exist enabling effort to be focussed on higher value activity.
Why are you looking forward to speaking at Robotics & Innovation Conference 2021?
I am looking forward to learning from the other speakers and participants – the fact that the conference is cross sector makes it a fantastic opportunity to open horizons and challenge how we may perceive problems in a specific sector.
At the conference you’ll also be able to hear from NHS England Three, Sellafield, UK Space Agency… and more! You can view the full agenda here. All sessions will be available on-demand.
