The UK’s leading event for robotic and automated solutions and technologies, Robotics and Automation, will open next week on the 28-29 March at the NEC Birmingham – and, for the first time ever, will be co-located with the UK’s premier intralogistics, warehousing and materials handling event, IntraLogisteX!
Robotics and Automation has moved to Hall 6 of the NEC in 2023, which reflects the continued growth of the show.
The event first launched in 2017 at Milton Keynes Arena and has since seen a massive increase in attendees and exhibitors. This led to the decision to move the event to Hall 1 at the Coventry Building Society Arena, before it went on to occupy both Halls 1 and 2.
Now, according to Stephen Brooks, owner and managing director of the company behind the show, Akabo Media, the decision to co-locate Robotics and Automation and IntraLogisteX in 2023 gives both shows an immediate gain in terms of the number of pre-qualified professionals attending – with more than 4,000 end-user visitors expected – as well as facilitating inter-exhibitor interactions between the close to 200 exhibiting companies.
There’ll also be unmissable and exclusive thought leadership content for visitors to avail of, thanks to a packed conference programme, which stretches across three theatres and will see no less than 50 industry leaders deliver insightful presentations across key topics on all things robotics, automation, warehousing, logistics and more!
Another first for this year will also come in the form of the dedicated content zones curated by Robotics & Innovation and Logistics Manager magazines – both of which will provide platforms for leading practitioners and academics to showcase and demonstrate the latest trends, learnings and developments impacting and shaping British industry.
“There is a synergy between both Robotics and Automation and IntraLogisteX, and though the visitor crossover is actually very low, with the increasing amount of automation in warehousing and the increased interest in everything robotic, it makes sense for us to have these two shows happening at the same time at the same venue,” said Brooks.
“The history of other exhibitions making a similar move suggests that this will not only increase the range and flexibility of services offered both to exhibitors and visitors to the show – e.g. better transport links, parking and onsite facilities – but also lead to increased attendee numbers.
“What’s more, both shows will have room to grow, and we can organise truly industry-best conferences for both exhibitions.”
With the floor plan packed with market-leading exhibitors, now is the time to register your interest in attending what promises to be the UK’s biggest and best industry event in 2023!
