Following another hugely successful Robotics and Automation exhibition earlier this week, Akabo Media, organiser of the annual industry event, has announced that next year’s edition will take place on 28-29 March 2023 at the UK’s leading live events venue – the NEC Birmingham!
Not only that, but the 2023 edition of UK’s largest dedicated robotics and automation exhibition will be co-located with IntraLogisteX 2023 – the UK’s premier intralogistics and materials handling exhibition.
Robotics and Automation’s imminent move to Hall 6 of the NEC reflects the continued upward trajectory of the show, which launched in 2017 at Milton Keynes Arena. Following huge growth in its first few years, the event then moved to Hall 1 at the Coventry Building Society Arena before going on to occupy both Halls 1 and 2.
And according to Stephen Brooks, owner and managing director of Akabo Media, the decision to co-locate Robotics and Automation and IntraLogisteX in 2023 gives both shows an immediate gain in terms of the number of pre-qualified professionals attending – more than 4,000 end-user visitors are expected – not to mention the inter-exhibitor interactions that will take place between more the 200 exhibiting companies.
There’ll also be much more exclusive, industry-leading content thanks to a comprehensive multi-theatre conference programme, as well as dedicated content hubs curated by Robotics & Innovation and Logistics Manager magazines – both of which will provide platforms for leading practitioners and academics to showcase and demonstrate the latest trends, learnings and developments impacting and shaping British industry.
“There is a synergy between both Robotics and Automation and IntraLogisteX, and though the visitor crossover is actually very low, with the increasing amount of automation in warehousing and the increased interest in everything robotic, it makes sense for us to have these two shows happening at the same time at the same venue,” said Brooks.
“The history of other exhibitions making a similar move suggests that this will not only increase the range and flexibility of services offered both to exhibitors and visitors to the show – e.g. better transport links, parking and onsite facilities – but also lead to increased attendee numbers.
“What’s more, both shows will have room to grow, and we can organise truly industry-best conferences for both exhibitions.”
With plans well underway and the floor plan starting to fill, now is the time to register your interest in attending what promises to be one of the UK’s biggest and best industry events in 2023!
