Logistics automation specialist Knapp has revealed the technologies it plans to showcase at Robotics and Automation 2022, which takes place next month at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Solutions set to be displayed within the Ericsson Exhibition Hall on November 01-02 include Knapp’s Pick-it-Easy robot, which is designed to use artificial intelligence (AI) and intelligent sensors to enable rapid self-teaching. According to its developer, the robot can pick orders with a high degree of accuracy at speeds equivalent to manual picking stations, but over longer periods.
Some of Pick-it-Easy’s global applications include online grocery fulfilment for Shufersal, an Israeli supermarket chain, and the handling of poly-wrapped fashion items for GXO in the Netherlands. The Pick-it-Easy robot is also available as a Robotics-as-a-Service model, which Knapp claims makes robotic automation more accessible for SMEs.
Visitors will also have the chance to learn about Knapp’s Open Shuttle Store, a scalable robotic storage system that features autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) that store goods in the racking and undertakes transport tasks. In addition, the Open Shuttle Store has been designed to offer short delivery and installation times. According to Knapp, the modular solution can be adapted to meet an organisation’s future needs.
For those interested in the the software side of warehouse management, Knapp intends to display KiSoft Genomix, a self-learning solution for managing master data. From weight and packaging type, to centre of gravity and tilting behaviour,KiSoft Genomix constantly analyses client data and visualises KPIs on dashboards to provide a live overview of warehouse processes.
Knapp’s redPILOT was likewise designed to support operational management by functioning as a control tower that leverages big data, predictive modelling and analytics to make warehouse operations more efficient. It can reportedly create shift plans, allocate resources and prevent errors.
Visitors to the Knapp stand will also receive insight into how its range of solutions can support businesses across the retail, e-commerce, fashion, food retail, healthcare and manufacturing sectors. Some of Knapp’s UK-based customers include Boots, British Gas, DHL, John Lewis Partnership, M&S, Next, The Very Group and Wincanton.
Knapp (Stand 310) will be at Robotics and Automation 2022 on 01-02 November at the Coventry Building Society Arena. For more information about this unmissable event, or to register to attend, please visit www.roboticsandautomation.co.uk.
