RARUK Automation, an automation company, has announced that it will be supporting its customers by providing two new robot palletising solutions from Robotiq.
The automation firm is an Expert Partner of Robotiq, which supplies collaborative robot (cobot) and automation solutions to manufacturers and has announced the release of its new PowerPick gripper and Multipick software feature.
Through the partnership, RARUK can now offer its customers access to the solutions, which are designed to suit the needs of UK businesses with higher payload and throughput palletising requirements.
PowerPick is a gripper designed for robust tasks, with Robotiq claiming it is the only standard vacuum gripper capable of lifting 11.5kg on a Universal Robots UR10e collaborative robot.
What’s more, it can also reportedly offer users 46 different handling options to enhance flexibility.
It was developed to be suited to applications on a wide range of box sizes, shapes and materials, meaning the new gripper is designed to also work in less controlled conditions, such as those with humidity and fine dust.
RARUK added that it also has the potential of multiple gripper modes, including single, dual or quadruple. This is intended to help users mount multiple PowerPick units onto a single robot arm and increase throughput for applications involving small, lightweight boxes.
In addition to PowerPick, Robotiq has introduced a new software feature, Multipick, which was built to unlock higher throughput at the end of the line.
According to the automation firm, Multipick enables a Universal Robots cobot to pick up multiple boxes at once, facilitates picking from a wider range of palletising patterns and also support label orientation.
By combining the solution, RARUK hopes businesses can speed up production lines, with the complete robotic palletising solution reportedly needing little-to-no customisation.
Through continued technological innovation, RARUK Automation hopes to help more UK manufacturers discover the benefits of robotic palletising.
RARUK Automation (Stand i324) will be at the co-located IntraLogisteX and Robotics and Automation on 28-29 March 2023 at NEC Birmingham. For more information, visit www.intralogistex.co.uk and www.roboticsandautomation.co.uk now.
