RARUK Automation has revealed the range of solutions it plans to exhibit at this year’s IntraLogisteX exhibition, which, for the first time ever, will be co-located with fellow Akabo Media event Robotics and Automation.
The two-day super show will take place at the NEC in Birmingham on 28-29 March 2023 and offer logistics, supply-chain and manufacturing professionals from a range of industry verticals across the UK a unique opportunity to source the latest technologies, products and services to address current and future challenges.
RARUK Automation (stand 324) will demonstrate an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) from Mobile Industrial Robots, the ER-FLEX from Enabled Robotics, as well as a series of collaborative robot (cobot) application solutions that utilise cobot arms from Universal Robots.
As visitors to Hall 6 of the NEC will discover, MiR’s AMRs are designed to offer a safer alternative to forklifts and trucks. Embedded sensors make it possible for the robot to manoeuvre safely and efficiently around people and obstacles, even in highly dynamic environments. The MiR range offers a variety of payload capacities, with the largest mobile robot in the fleet able to carry loads of up to 1,350kg.
Also on RARUK’s stand, the ER-FLEX is an automated transportation robot with the flexibility of a robot arm. It combines technology from MiR and Universal Robots, which means the robot is fully autonomous and does not need to run on tracks. Common applications include warehouse automation, material handling and picking and packing.
Another application solution to be showcased in Birmingham by RARUK is the Surface Finishing Solution, which is designed to automate repetitive finishing tasks by combining a Universal Robots cobot with a Mirka sanding or polishing head that can be customised to suit specific application needs.
According to RARUK, a range of industries could benefit from the finishing solution as it is suitable for use on a variety of surfaces including wood, plastic, metal, fibreglass, solid surfaces and carbon fibre.
Similarly, RARUK will demonstrate how to turn a Universal Robots cobot into an efficient screwdriving cell with Robotiq’s Screwdriving Solution, which is compact and can be set up on a bench top, freeing up workers for higher value tasks and reducing the risk of repetitive strain injury.
What’s more, the latest palletising solution from Robotiq will also be on RARUK Automation’s stand, including the AX and PE Series robotic palletisers, which can be integrated into existing manufacturing lines, thereby automating palletising or depalletising to enhance end-of-line operations.
RARUK Automation (Stand 324) will be at the co-located IntraLogisteX and Robotics and Automation on 28-29 March 2023 at NEC Birmingham. For more information, visit www.intralogistex.co.uk and www.roboticsandautomation.co.uk now!
