UK automation and control distributor Parmley Graham is showcasing a selection of products from partners such as Siemens, Rethink, Festo, Automata and AR Controls at Robotics and Automation 2021.
According to the distributor, its in-house engineers can work with attendees to identify and assist in providing the best and most cost-effective automation and control solutions. Furthermore, the Parmley Graham team is demonstrating how the latest in robotics, automation, control, and future technologies can help improve efficiency, reduce costs and give businesses a competitive advantage.
For example, Sawyer is a smart collaborative robot designed to give manufacturers the high performance and adaptability needed to automate a wide variety of tasks. Predominantly used for low payloads (up to 4kg) and repetitive actions, Sawyer works intelligently thanks to its software platform – working alongside operators following a train-by-demonstration experience. Users simply move its arm and demonstrate the required movements.
Also on display is Eva, a safe, flexible robot solution for a wide range of applications and use cases, including inspection, product testing, sorting, and machine tending. Predominantly used for low payloads (1.25kg), Eva has been developed as an affordable robotic arm able to handle simple repetitive tasks.
The SIMOVE AGV platform includes Siemens automation and drive components along with modular and pretested software, enabling machine builders and end-customers to automate their AGV application out-of-the-box
In addition, Festo’s Simplified Motion series, which Parmley Graham describes as “an excellent way to set up electromechanical systems, efficiently and affordably”, is also on display. These products consist of a mechanical axis, integrated motor, controller, and simple light-up display.
The actuators are used for simple end-to-end motion and allow easy speed and force control via the integrated feedback without software or programming knowledge. According to Parmley Graham, this makes the range suitable for simple motion and clamping applications. Benefits include high speed, high-precision, medium-high payload with multi-configuration from single-axis to Cartesian systems.
Attendees to the Coventry Building Society Arena can also see the technology that enables the control and automation of AGVs and view the management platform powered by SIMOVE of Siemens. Designed to be used to support processing and handling, the AGV on display can follow marked long lines or along wires on the floor or use radio waves, vision cameras, magnets, or lasers for navigation.
Parmley Graham (Stand 312) is at Robotics and Automation 2021 on 02-03 November at the Coventry Building Society Arena. For more details, go to www.roboticsandautomation.co.uk
