Piab, a Swedish manufacturer of automated solutions for the food, packaging and automotive sectors, is showcasing how it uses automation to provide gripping skills to robots, intelligent flow to materials and lifting power to humans.
Headlining Piab’s stand is its new Cobot Palletising Tool (CPT). With fast response times, a multi-zone gripper and high energy efficiency, Piab expects it’s latest offering to allow customers to increase efficiency in their palletising operations.
The CPT has both suction cup and foam options in a lightweight unit, reducing EOAT changes and allowing a smaller robot to be used.
Colin Nevett, area sales manager at Piab, said: “The show has been good, it’s interesting to see a lot of new companies that we haven’t seen before and getting to engage with them.
“That’s what it’s all about, getting in front of those guys and introducing the Piab world to them and getting across our USPs.”
As visitors are learning, Piab’s premium pumps are designed around patented COAX technology, which is at the heart of the products’ vacuum performance. The technology also allows Piab to create configurable, low-weight and versatile products.
These can be adapted to specific needs, applications, and projects for use in markets from the food and beverage industry to the pharmaceutical industry.
