Will Kinghorn, technology adoption specialist for robotics and automation at Made Smarter, will deliver a session titled ‘Sustainable manufacturing starts here: building a business case for automation and decarbonisation’ at Robotics and Automation 2025Â
The event takes place on 25-26 March at the NEC Birmingham and will be co-located with the 10th annual IntraLogisteX and the second-ever Sustainable Supply Chain Exhibition.
Kinghorn is the automation and robotics specialist for the Made Smarter Adoption Programme in the North West, where he advises and supports manufacturing companies with the adoption of new technologies.
Kinghorn is a chartered manufacturing engineer with the IMechE, and his background is in the aerospace industry where he developed and implemented new manufacturing techniques including automation, robotics, advanced machining, inspection, and welding.
He is also the author of Digital Transformation in Your Manufacturing Business – A Made Smarter Guide.
Kinghorn’s session will look at how SMEs can build a business case for automation and decarbonisation, as well as address common challenges they face and explore potential solutions.
