Robotics and automation are among top trends set to be discussed at this year’s IntraLogisteX, the UK’s only materials handling and intralogistics show in 2020.
Taking place on 1st October and 2nd October at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, the exhibition is home to both the IntraLogisteX Conference and Automation and Innovation Conference. Both conference programmes will enable delegates to discover how robotics and automation are transforming warehouse operations.
Day 1 of the IntraLogisteX Conference will be opened by Gavin Clark, senior vice-president of sales EMEA, at Microlistics, who will explain how faster, smarter and more cost effective robotics and automated guided vehicles (AGVs) can help in warehouses of all sizes. Meanwhile, Day 2 will see Meg Crossman, head of customer success at OW Robotics, discuss the benefits of flexible robotics within existing warehouse processes and operations.
Meanwhile, Day 2 of the Automation and Innovation Conference will see Andrew Hoyle, head of automation at Wincanton, reveal how to ensure your warehouse is managed efficiently and outline the challenges and benefits that have been found in semi-automating and fully-automating logistics. Later that day, Simon Cooper, sales manager at Swisslog, will deliver two presentations centred around robotics.
Cooper’s first presentation will explain how advances in sensing, vision, gripping and navigation technology have opened new applications for robotics in the warehouse, while his second presentation will highlight how collaborative robots can empower employees and drive efficiency.
Some 125 exhibitors will be at IntraLogisteX 2020 showcasing the latest intralogistics and materials handling technology. Robotics & Innovation’s sister site, logisticsmanager.com, will be revealing more details in the countdown to the show.
