Zebra Technologies Corporation, which develops computing technology, has announced that German fashion retailer Bonita will be implementing its Zebra’s Task Management software solution to make communications and information sharing more efficient
This solution is part of Zebra’s ‘The Modern Store’ offering, which it claims has helped retailers achieve 95% on-time task completion, 98% inventory accuracy and 25% increases in transaction value.
Much of Bonita’s previous communications between its head office in Hamminkeln and store associates was conducted via messages on the cash register or by email, leading to errors and time delays.
To remove the manual elements of its communications processes, Bonita contacted Zebra’s retail software team to map out and analyse workflows and, accordingly, build a business case for its solution.
The computing firm’s Task Management software solution was selected, with it being deployed in May this year across all of Bonita’s 470 stores in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
“My colleagues and I have been very impressed with the selected Task Management software solution which digitises and optimises our store workflows, associate activities, and the customer experience,” said Marco Seidel, head of sales operations, Bonita.
“In the run-up to the rollout, we examined the usability of the solution with colleagues from all areas of the business and received very positive feedback.
“We are confident our collaboration with Zebra will deliver a strong return on investment.”
The Zebra Task Management software solution comprises the Reflexis Real-Time Task Manager, Q-Walk, Q-Chat and Q-Forms; it will be accessed via workplace tablets and other mobile devices.
Through it, tasks can be ranked by priority and monitored using an overview screen that delivers notifications for high-priority tasks.
“Retailers are increasingly turning to software solutions to address their most important challenges,” says Christoph Saalmann, senior manager, Zebra Reflexis Software Solutions, Germany, Zebra Technologies.
“The Modern Store by Zebra framework provides retailers with the elevated capabilities they need to drive success today with the agility to forecast and adapt for tomorrow.”
Bonita will also use the platform to ensure messages from area managers and head office are delivered to the correct stores, supporting streamlined communication.
What’s more, the solution can organise workflow forms, which can be accessed through an interface on a range of devices. They can be updated and shared to ensure store associates are working with the correct ones.
Other functions of the Zebra solution portfolio that will be utilised by Bonita include its photo feedback function to optimise the design of display windows and Q-Walk, which will be used to simplify and mobilise on-site auditing processes using real time information.
Zebra Technologies (Stand i820) will be at the co-located IntraLogisteX and Robotics and Automation on 28-29 March 2023 at NEC Birmingham. For more information, visit vwww.intralogistex.co.uk and www.roboticsandautomation.co.uk.
