Mitsubishi Electric is spotlighting its solutions at Robotics and Automation 2022, including a comprehensive range of robots at Stand 220.
At the event, visitors are learning more about how these different solutions address a variety of operational requirements and help to improve productivity at this key exhibition in the robotics event calendar.
Thanks to the on-hand Mitsubishi Electric team, attendees are exploring how the latest automated technologies can boost efficiency, profitability and provide a competitive advantage through insight into the robotics company’s three different robotic applications on show.
Duncan Nicol, market development manager at Mitsubishi Electric, told Robotics & Innovation, “It’s really good to be at the show and to be exhibiting for this year and to see lots of people coming through the door.
“It seems to be well-attended and there’s a buzz in the room.
“It’s really important for us to be able to showcase all the different ranges of robotics that Mitsubishi Electric offers and to have that engagement with end-users.”
The Mitsubishi Electric robots are demonstrating the capabilities of distinct assemblies, with attendees playing dice with a MELFA Assista collaborative robot (cobot) that uses an integrated gripper and vision system.
The MELFA can be seen picking up the dice, rolling it and recording the score, with its human opponent then doing the same, before the robot determines which party has the most points. So far, several competitors have tried to beat the machine and obtain a prize.
Also on display are a compact RH-CH SCARA and a vertical RV series six-axis arm, which report key operational information on the stand. To do so, they connect to Mitsubishi Electric’s PLCs and GOT 2000 HMIs.
Both of the machines are equipped with the MELFA SafePlus safety solution, which enables any of the company’s robots to work in close proximity with people, following cooperative and collaborative practices.
Barry Weller, robotics product manager at Mitsubishi Electric, said: “We are showcasing our broad portfolio of solutions at Robotics and Automation. When it comes to automating key processes and operations, one size rarely fits all.
“Our range was developed to address the needs of industry and to help companies succeed in their digital transformation journeys. We invite anyone looking for a robotic system to visit our experts on stand – we will be able to guide you through the selection process and help to identify the most suitable products for your specific applications.”
