Switzerland-based Industrial equipment supplier Asyril, which specialises in flexible feeding systems for parts and components from 0.1mm to 150mm in size, is demonstrating its products’ new dual feeding feature at Robotics and Automation 2022.
As visitors are discovering, the dual feeding option can be applied to Asyril’s three most popular products in its Asycube series: Asycube 240, Asycube 380, and Asycube 530. With one of these products and EYE+ 2.0 software, customers can configure the system to handle two parts on one platform.
What’s more, the Asycube can be separated by a mechanical divider to form two halves, each containing a different part. A robot arm can then feed the parts, without the need to change the Asycube when switching parts.
Lloyd Arnold, product marketing manager at Asyril, said: “We are providing flexible feeding solutions, so the main thing for us is going from bulk to separated parts, identifying the parts and having the ability to switch production very quickly and be very flexible and adaptive to the market.”
The company is spotlighting both dual and flexible feeding systems at Stand 427. The video below demonstrates a pick-and-place application from Asyril with a Kuka robot, which attendees are getting to see in action for themselves.
Asyril believes that the ability to handle two parts on a single platform will increase feeding efficiency, while saving costs by reducing the hardware needed to facilitate the handling operation of multiple parts.
Furthermore, using a single dual feeding system instead of multiple traditional feeding machines saves space, allowing layout and floor space to be optimised.
In addition to the Asycube products, visitors can see Asyril’s EYE+ smart control, plug-and-play system that uses artificial intelligence to optimise the performance of any automation machine.
