Aaeon, a manufacturer of OEM/ODM industrial PCs, has revealed its latest fanless embedded box PC, the Boxer-6645-ADS, which is reportedly powered by 12th generation Intel core processors.
The company is also a titanium member of the Intel IoT Solutions Alliance, with Aaeon claiming it strives to develop solutions using the most advanced technology available.
Based on the Boxer’s processing power, I/O volume and expandability, Aaeon reports that this model offers a complete industrial solution.
The new PC was designed to make use of the power of 16 cores and 24 threads through its Intel core processor, with Aaeon also suggesting it has potential for a wide range of applications that demand high-performance computing.
What’s more, the ‘powerful’ processor should enable the Boxer PC to benefit from peripheral technologies, such as Intel’s DL Boost, Time Coordinated Computing, and Enhanced SpeedStep Technology.
According to its manufacturer, this model is likewise equipped with an operating temperature range of between -4°F and 140°F (-20°C to 60°C), anti-shock and vibration features housed within a fanless chassis, which gives it the ability to operate in extreme deployment settings.
Other key features which the company points to are its durability, namely that the PC contains a plethoric I/O to make use of its Intel Iris Xe Graphics, including up to eight USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) and six DB-9 ports, along expansion options such as M.2 3052 and M.2 2230 key slots to accommodate 5G and Wi-Fi modules.
This reportedly makes the PC a market-leading industrial IoT solution and that, according to Aaeon, it should be a first choice for those seeking smart city and Industry 4.0 applications.
What’s more, the PC was developed to operate with speed, using a dual-channel SODIMM slot supporting DDR5 4800MHz, which reportedly provides a 50% increase in bandwidth and the speed of data transfer.
The model was also designed with low-latency transmittance capability in mind, in addition to display interfaces, including HDMI 1.4b and DP1.4a ports to support efficient deployment as an edge-server for IoT gateway use.
Aaeon (Stand 322) will be at Robotics and Automation 2022 on 01-02 November at the Coventry Building Society Arena. For more information about this unmissable event, or to register to attend, please visit www.roboticsandautomation.co.uk.
