An open European online community, named Robospot, has been established to promote the widespread and responsible adoption of robotics in our society by the European Commission.
Robospot was developed to focus on areas of interest to the robotics community that are non-technical, such as ethics inspection, and maintenance of infrastructure, agri-food or agile production.
The platform was built to provide a community of projects, organisations and individuals working towards making robotics more responsible.
Users will reportedly be able to build their network, converse with experts, find new robotics events and check open resources on various related subjects, in addition to adding their own.

To join the community, users can register online for free, but must be registered to access it.
The online hub falls within the framework of Robotics4EU (R4EU), a project funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
R4EU is a three-year-long project, comprised of organisations from six EU countries, which aims to promote social acceptance of robots and more widespread adoption of artificial intelligence (AI).
