The integration utilises the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano and NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin platforms, designed to improve the AI performance and energy efficiency of Foresight’s systems. The Jetson Orin Nano is particularly suited for compact drones and UAVs, offering high AI performance while minimising weight and size.
The Jetson AGX Orin platform, capable of delivering up to 275 trillion operations per second (TOPS), enables advanced real-time data processing, including precise terrain mapping and obstacle detection in dynamic environments.
These advancements come as part of Foresight’s ongoing efforts to enhance the capabilities of its 3D perception systems, which incorporate visible light and thermal long-wave infrared cameras.
These technologies enable comprehensive environmental understanding in challenging conditions, such as low-light environments, heavy fog, and extreme weather. The systems are expected to play a crucial role in applications such as search and rescue missions, agriculture monitoring, and other operations that demand reliable and accurate environmental perception.
