At Robotics and Automation 2023, Content Zone participant Smart Hub Lanarkshire (Stand r320) will run a series of workshops designed to give visitors the chance to programme collaborative robots (cobots) themselves.
The 20-minute practical workshops are free to participate in and will take place across both days of the show (see timetable below), on 28-29 March at the NEC Birmingham alongside IntraLogisteX 2023.
According to Ryan Sheridan, operational lead at Smart Hub Lanarkshire, the workshops will involve a pick-and-place application and the use of external controls to simulate a range of industrial environments.
“You will learn how easy the programming can be and gain an understanding of options for integrating a cobot into your workforce,” said Sheridan, who also features in the official Robotics and Automation 2023 preview in the March 2023 issue of Robotics & Innovation Magazine.
As well as being able to observe cobots operating up close, visitors to the workshops will also learn all about the multiple applications for cobots in different manufacturing settings and gain a greater understanding of the costs and ROI potential.
